Due to an official weather statement and after careful consultation with local authorities, including our fire marshal and venue team, we have decided to postpone our event at Hollywood Casino from Saturday to Sunday. With an "Elevated Risk of Wildfire Spread" advisory linked to an incoming pressure system, a lantern launch on Saturday wouldn’t be safe. Additionally, strong winds expected on Saturday would affect the enjoyment and safety of our guests. However, the fire marshal has approved Sunday’s conditions, and we’re excited to welcome you then!

Remember, we are a weather-dependent event and we rely on the cooperation with Mother Nature. We apologize for this last-minute change. We know it’s far from ideal, especially as our team is already set up and ready to greet you. Your safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your patience as we navigate these circumstances to provide the best experience possible. Sunday’s forecast looks ideal, with winds under 1 mph, promising one of the most beautiful launches of our season.
To make it convenient, especially for families with young children, we’ve planned the lantern launch just after 7:00 pm, so the event will conclude by 8:30 pm. Here’s the full Sunday schedule for your reference.
Exploring Harrisburg
If you’re staying in Harrisburg on Saturday, take the opportunity to enjoy the area! Check out the beautiful fall foliage, visit Hershey’s World of Chocolate, or stop by Hollywood Casino.
1. Will I need new tickets to attend on Sunday?
Tickets with the new date printed on them can be resent using the Account Dashboard, or you can use your original tickets with Saturday’s date. Either will work for October 27th.
2. I have Ticket Protection — can I get a refund?
Yes, you may request a refund. We will begin processing refunds starting November 1. Refunds should be completed by November 14th (some banks may take and additional 5-7 business days to process). You must submit your request BEFORE October 28, 2024. You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been refunded (see Refund Policy).
3. I can’t attend Sunday, and I didn’t purchase ticket protection — what are my options?
While this is our final 2024 event, you may hold your tickets for 2025. Credit requests must be made BEFORE October 28, 2024, and tickets will expire if not requested by this date, or used at the event on Oct 27th (see Credit Policy).
You will receive an email confirmation once your credit has been processed. Our schedule for 2025 will be released on Black Friday this year and you will have the option to choose an event for 2025. You can request this from the Account Dashboard anytime after Black Friday.
4. My event has been rescheduled multiple times. Are there other options?
