Our number 1 priority is holding a safe event that brings the community together to make magical memories. Because Night Lights takes place outdoors, it is a weather dependent event.
Just like you, we don't like rescheduling our events, but it does happen from time to time, due to rain or extreme winds that are out of our hands.
Each of our events is planned and coordinated with multiple local partners, municipalities, and authorities, and we monitor the weather patterns from a weather station closest to our actual venue.
In the event that we need to reschedule an event, we do our best to announce the reschedule via email, SMS, and/or social media within 24 hours of the event. This timeline can change if the weather seems to be moving out of the area and we need to watch it closer. All tickets will be automatically transferred to the new, rescheduled date.
Similar to a sporting event or concert, Night Lights Event has a no refunds policy. This means that if you purchase tickets (and do not add Ticket Protection to your order), in the event of a reschedule, you will qualify for a transfer or future credit, but you will not qualify for a refund.
We understand that it may be inconvenient for you to attend if the event is rescheduled to a new date. We do our best to give you options in this circumstances — in addition to offering Ticket Protection, please find your other options below.
Because Night Lights takes place at outdoor venues, it is highly dependent on the weather. The weather factors we must consider are:
We monitor the weather patterns from a weather station closest to our actual venue starting 10 days prior to our scheduled event day.
If the weather looks clear:
We'll move forward with the event as planned and will watch for wind, rain, and weather changes daily as we get closer to the event.
If the weather looks uncertain:
Our goal is always to give as much notice as possible if we do plan on postponing an event. We'll update you about any changes to our schedule through social media, email, and SMS.
If you were the original purchaser: If you purchased tickets using your email and phone number, you are automatically on our list to receive updates. You may want to allow the following email addresses to your safe list, to avoid being sent to a promotions folder, spam or junk. Search your inbox if you don't see anything from us.
If you unsubscribed to these emails or sms messages, reach out to us, so we can fix this for you.
If someone else purchased the tickets for you: you are most likely not registered to receive updates with us. Please reach out to us so we can get you on our list.
We make it simple so there is nothing you need to do! In case of a reschedule, all tickets are automatically transferred to the new date. All you have to do is show up with your original tickets (even though they have the old date on them), or you can request new tickets be sent in the Account Dashboard. Just click on the “Resend Tix” button.
If you are unable to attend the make-up date, we will provide the option of a Ticket Credit that can be used to hold your tickets for a future Night Lights event, the following year.

If Ticket Protection was purchased for the ticket, you qualify for a refund.

If you are concerned about the chance of a reschedule, your best option in this circumstance is to purchase Ticket Protection with your order. Ticket Protection can be added to your order during checkout and will allow you to receive a refund for any reason, including a rescheduled event.

In our 5+ years of running Night Lights Event (over 60 events), we have only cancelled an event three times. A cancellation means that the event cannot be held and there is no makeup date. In the case of a cancellation, we will issue a 100% refund to all customers.
